The monarch eats milkweed.  That is its only diet.  I planted milkweed plants and the monarchs came.  You may occasionally see the caterpillars eating the milkweed and you may also see them traveling along the sidewalks to make their chrysalis.

You may have noticed other butterflies visiting.  They are attracted by the same plants as the monarch.  They are welcome to visit of course but it was the monarch I had in mind.  Please protect the butterflies and caterpillars so that we all can enjoy them.
