Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation. John F. Kennedy U.S. President

What is a passing score?

Achievement Levels for the Algebra 1 EOC Assessment Scale Scores (325 to 475)

Does this count as a grade?

The scores will not be returned to the schools in time for this to count in your 4th quarter grade. This is your score and this is important to you so you must think of this as an event worth preparation time. Remember that this is a graduation requirement so if you do not pass this time you must retake the assessment.

special note: you may have heard that this will be calculated into your grade later by the state. Here is the information on that but it does not apply to you. • Course Grade—For students who entered grade 9 in the 2010-11 school year and are enrolled in Algebra 1 or an equivalent course, scores must be used to calculate 30 percent of the final course grade.
